 We are compiling a list of local organizations and groups of "fellow seekers" and we invite you to submit names, descriptions, and website or other contact information for groups in the Chicago area that you feel we should include here.

SPIRITUAL, PERSONAL GROWTH and EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

Unity in Chicago   Unity is a practical, positive, progressive spiritual movement that honors all paths and religions. Charles Fillmore, Unity’s co-founder, described Unity’s inclusivity saying: “Unity is the truth that is taught in all religions, simplified and systematized so that anyone can understand and apply it." Students of Unity do not find it necessary to sever their church affiliations. 1925 W. Thome Street, Chicago.
Swedenborg Library   The Swedenborg Library in Chicago sponsors programs and retreats on spiritual topics, hosts Common Ground lectures, and maintains on loan (see all items under "books" in the left-hand column) the works of the 18th Century Swedish scientist and theologian Emanuel Swedenborg.  People of all faiths, including skeptics of religion, are welcomed to Swedenborg Library programs.

The Way of the Heart  The Way of the Heart is an international organization devoted to empowering individual and collective life purpose, offering a Way of living a heart-centered life with more conscious guidance, empowerment and connection. Quickly and permanently transform physical, emotional and mental blocks and limitations through  leading edge processes and practices. Intentionally create and embody your highest dreams and possibilities.  This  training augments and harmonizes with other paths and practices. 

New Momentum for Human Unity   New Momentum was established in 2006 to increase efforts for human unity. Their film, City of the Dawn
, won the Planet Prize at the European Spiritual Film Festival in 2010, and we showed it in October of that year as our  program for that month. New Momentum also produces books, CDs and conferences that promote the understanding and appreciation of our basic, deep, oneness.

The Theosophical Society   The Theosophical Society in America is a branch of a world fellowship and membership organization dedicated to promoting the unity of humanity and encouraging the study of religion, philosophy and science so that we may better understand ourselves and our relationships within this multidimensional universe. The Society stands for complete freedom of individual search and belief. The American section has its national center in Wheaton, Illinois, on a beautiful estate called Olcott in honor of the American cofounder and first President of the Society, Colonel Henry Steel Olcott.
