This year Chicago IONS' 2014 journey has explored "Conscious Doing." Each program has been an experiment to lead us to living awake to our courage, authenticity, and human relational selves. In August, we will put these tools into action in yet another way , unlocking a wellspring of creativity through the practice of Conscious Forgiveness.
Together we will explore: What is forgiveness (and what is it not)? How can it transform our lives and move us towards gratitude, joy, purpose, and meaning? As we seek to untangle the heavy mass of misconceptions surrounding the topic of forgiveness, such as forcing forgiveness when it is not yet authentic, we will work together to create and experience a simple, practical, and life-affirming forgiveness practice that richly pours information onto our paths and connects us once again to our power.
Cost? $15 Admission.

In 2013 we explored how Consciousness is defined through many sensibilities. The primary and essential step in growing awareness is relationship with self, that inner awareness, that noetic wisdom we carry within us. We explored how Consciousness exists beyond the boundaries of the individual human brain and how Consciousness holds the interconnectedness of all things, the Self and the Other. At the end of 2013 we asked our community about perceived obstacles to conscious action. Fear, time, money and work came up as the big ones.
In 2014 we take the next step – delving into how we take our awareness into our daily lives, face our obstacles, and transform them into positive sources of creative energy- in other words Conscious Doing.
We invite experts to share their knowledge, catalyzing the inner wisdom in our learning community. And we continue to bring this knowledge "home" through interactive and experiential designs, taking us beyond the lecture format of "Sage on Stage."
